Dr. Yildirim earned his Ph.D. in Sustainable Bioproducts from the University of Maine and is a graduate of the University of Maine Innovation Engineering Program.
In 2014, he Co-Founded Revolution Research Inc. and received grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and some other US-based competitive Agencies.
In 2017, Dr. Yildirim started as the founding General Manager of Bursa Technical University Technology Transfer Office Inc. (Bursatto) and worked as an Associate Professor of Sustainable Bioproducts for 3 years at the Bursa Technical University.
Dr. Yildirim moved to Qatar in 2021 and has been working as Founding Executive Director for the Office of Innovation and Industrial Relations at The Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) since then.

Dr. Yildirim has been a Program Manager for various development projects in nanocomposites and advanced materials, including studies of fire retardant nanocomposites, water repellent nanocellulose composites, aerogels, bio-based panels, eco-friendly thermal insulation composite foam boards and biobased ceiling tiles for green buildings. Nadir has been working with composites and advanced materials for over 10 years.
